From Show Ring to Spotlight: Gordy, the Miniature Bull Terrier

It’s been an extraordinary journey for GCH CH IntCH Brownstone's Flash Gordon at Obsession, affectionately known as Gordy. At just 19 months old, Gordy has already achieved remarkable success in the show ring, surpassing even the loftiest expectations. His rapid rise to Grand Champion is nothing short of incredible, making waves in the world of Mini Bull Terriers and beyond.

Gordy’s story began when breeders Crissy Brown-Stone posted a photo of an available puppy on Facebook in 2023. Sheree and Wil Diaz knew immediately that this special puppy was destined to be theirs. Just one week later, they made the trip to Tennessee to pick up little Gordy, and it was the start of something extraordinary.

At only six months and one week old, Gordy started his "big boy" show career with an impressive four Group placings in just one month. His talent and potential were undeniable. Gordy finished his Championship on his very first birthday at a Mini Bull Specialty, and just two shows later, he achieved his Grand Championship title, also at a Specialty. His success in such a short span is a testament to his exceptional qualities and the dedication of his handlers.

One of Gordy’s most recent milestones is gracing the cover of ALB Magazine. Being selected for the cover is a tremendous honor, showcasing Gordy’s rising prominence and impeccable presentation in the world of Mini Bull Terriers. It’s a moment of pride for everyone involved in his journey, highlighting just how far he has come in so little time.

While Gordy is a star in the show ring, his personality at home is equally captivating. Contrary to the typical playful destructiveness of many Mini Bulls, Gordy is laid back, gentle, and affectionate. He doesn’t tear up his toys or get into mischief like most dogs his age. Every night, he has a sweet routine—Gordy enjoys a fortune cookie, and listens attentively as his fortune is read to him, a unique quirk that makes him even more lovable.

Gordy’s health is as outstanding as his show career. He is fully health tested, carrying CHIC #198461, and he’s Triple Clear, making him a prime example of responsible breeding and a healthy champion.

As Gordy’s show career continues to soar, the future is incredibly bright. With his Grand Champion title under his belt and a ALB Magazine cover to his name, there’s no telling just how much more this incredible dog will achieve.

Stay tuned as we celebrate Gordy’s ongoing success and watch him make waves in the world of Mini Bull Terriers!
