SOUTHERN ILLINOIS PET PHOTOGRAPHER MEETS A Staar, ARROW.

Arrow: A Fighter from the Start

Some dogs face more challenges in their first few months than most do in a lifetime. Arrow is one of them.

When she arrived at Save Them All Animal Rescue at just 11 weeks old, she couldn’t use her hind legs. A spinal fracture had left her unable to walk, and her future was uncertain. Surgery wasn’t an option due to her young age, so instead, she spent months on strict crate rest, waiting to see if her body could heal on its own. And somehow, it did.

As time passed, Arrow surprised everyone. She started to regain mobility, little by little. Therapy helped, but it was her determination that made the biggest difference. By the time she was old enough for surgery, it was clear she didn’t need it—she had already defied the odds.

Now, at a year old, Arrow can walk, run, and even jump. She may move a little differently than other dogs, but that doesn’t slow her down. She plays hard, loves big, and doesn’t let anything hold her back.

Photographing Arrow was a privilege. She’s full of personality, equal parts sweet and sassy, with an undeniable spark. Her resilience is inspiring, but more than that, she’s just a great dog—one who deserves a home where she’ll be loved not for her story, but for who she is.

Interested in meeting arrow?

Arrow is still looking for that home. If you’re interested in adopting her, please reach out to Save Them All Animal Rescue. She’s ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family who will appreciate her unstoppable spirit.
