Where can I walk my dog in Southern Illinois?
Ferne Clyffe State Park in goreville, illinois
Ferne Clyffe has many trail options for you to choose from and will satisfy your hiking needs! As you’re walking, you get to take in stunning woodland areas, see bluffs that will leave you awestruck, walk around a beautiful woodland surrounded lake, and some trails will even lead you to stunning waterfalls. There is only one thing that can elevate your hiking experience at Ferne Clyffe; that is having your dog with you along the way. Dogs absolutely love the hike, smelling the smells and being in nature.
I have taken my dog hiking at Ferne Clyffe many times on different trails. I highly recommend, and Pixel, our Dalmatian, gives 10/10 stars!

Not only do they have many trails for hiking, but you can also camp with your dog. I have personally done this and it is a lovely and safe camp ground (that is also dog friendly!).
