Dalmatian Dog laying on fallen tree at Ferne Clyffe National Park

Are you thinking about doing something with your dog, but not sure what to do? As a Southern Illinois Dog Photographer, I get asked about what activities people can do with their dogs in the area. This dog friendly hiking trail in Southern Illinois is one of my favorites! Check it out and let me know what you think of this fun trail.

There is only one thing that can elevate your hiking experience at Ferne Clyffe; that is having your dog with you along the way. Dogs absolutely love the hike, smelling all of the smells, and being in nature.

In addition to the many dog friendly hiking trails, Ferne Clyffe also offers a camping area! Ferne Clyffe offers both electric and non-electric sights. So you’ll be able to print a tent OR and RV to camp here with your dogs.

I have taken my dog, Pixel, hiking at Ferne Clyffe numerous times and we absolutely love it. So if this is something you’re thinking of, we recommend it!
